Israeli massacre in Gaza, England and France threaten Netanyahu with sanctions

The casualties have not stopped in the Gaza Strip. Israeli strikes on Tuesday morning have killed at least 60 people across the Gaza Strip. Two attacks in northern Gaza hit a family and a school converted into a shelter, killing at least 22 people, more than half of them women and children, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.

An attack in the central city of Deir al-Balah killed 13 people, and another in the nearby Nuseirat refugee camp killed 15, according to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. Meanwhile, two attacks in the southern city of Khan Younis killed 10 people. There was no immediate comment from the Israeli military, which says it only targets militants and blames Hamas for the civilian deaths because the group operates in densely populated areas.

Meanwhile, international pressure has increased on Israel over its new military offensive in Gaza. The leaders of the United Kingdom, France and Canada threatened to take “concrete action,” including targeted sanctions, if Israel does not halt its renewed military offensive and continue to block aid from entering Gaza.

The heads of state and government of France, Great Britain and Canada threatened Israel with "concrete measures" over its military offensive in the Gaza Strip. French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and his Canadian counterpart Mark Carney jointly declared that they would not stand idly by in the face of the Israeli government's "ugly" actions in the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, referring to Hamas’s attack on October 7, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has strongly rejected threats from France, Canada and the UK. By calling on Israel to “end a defensive war for our survival before Hamas terrorists are destroyed on our border and by demanding a Palestinian state,” these countries are offering Hamas “a huge reward for the genocidal attack on Israel on October 7,” Netanyahu said on X.

At the same time, they would “invite Hamas to commit further atrocities,” he added. Israel has also blocked the delivery of humanitarian aid since early March.

According to his statements, Israel wants to force Hamas, which still holds 57 people hostage, to make concessions. On Sunday, Netanyahu's office announced that Israel would allow aid deliveries again. The first deliveries have already arrived in the Gaza Strip, but the United Nations agency emphasizes that this Israeli plan is only a "drop in the ocean." (A2 Televizion)
