The foreign ministers of the European Union have gathered in Brussels in an important meeting.
The high representative for foreign policy, Josep Borrell, said that the main topics to be discussed are: the humanitarian situation in Gaza and Israel's fight against Hamas, the continued support of Ukraine in the fight against Russia, and the new EU enlargement plan with the countries of the Western Balkans.
Even for this, a separate meeting will be held with the foreign ministers of our region and those of the Union. In his statement at the start of the meetings, Borrell criticized Serbia for the lack of alignment of foreign policy with that of the European Union, specifically for the lack of sanctions against Russia.
"We have a meeting with the foreign ministers of the Balkans. We are doing this to show how important this region is. We will discuss the European Commission's latest proposals for enlargement. We will insist on the need for closer follow-up of our foreign policy. "Some countries don't have a good track record of aligning with our foreign policy and sanctions," Borrell said. (A2 Televizion)
