International media have published photos of the reunion of 4-year-old Abigail Idan with her uncles and grandparents after her release from Hamas.
Unfortunately, her mother and father were killed in front of her eyes on October 7, before she was taken hostage in Gaza by Palestinian Islamist militants.
The little girl was released on Sunday, November 26, and as her grandfather described, he couldn't believe his eyes at first when he saw the photos of his granddaughter returning to Israel.
"It was just shocking. I didn't believe it until I saw it," he told reporters outside his home.
"Now I am calm, but not completely calm because there is happiness, but there is also the absence of her parents."
The little girl's parents were killed by Hamas in their home in Kibbutz Kfar Aza. We recall that together with Abigail, 13 other hostages from Israel were released on Sunday, three people of Thai nationality and one Russian. (A2 Televizion)
