The US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, is visiting Brussels from today until November 29, where he will participate in the meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers. He will also be present at the NATO-Ukraine Council summit.
"Secretary Blinken will underscore the alliance's commitment to Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression, confirm the United States' support for democracy and regional stability in the Western Balkans, and discuss priorities for the Washington summit in July 2024," it reads. in a State Department announcement.
Blinken will then travel to North Macedonia where he will participate in the OSCE meeting that takes place from November 29 to December 1. The Foreign Minister of Skopje, Bujar Osmani, did not rule out the possibility that his counterpart from Russia, Sergey Lavrov, will also be present at this event. "We are expecting Secretary of State Blinken for the informal dinner. In which part of the three days the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, will be, I cannot say now", underlined Bujar Osmani, regarding the possibility if the two chief diplomats of the global superpowers will meet in Skopje.
