The Trump Organization, the family company of US President Donald Trump, will partner with a Romanian real estate developer, SDC Imobiliare, to build a luxury tower complex in the heart of the Romanian capital, Bucharest.
"Trump Tower Bucharest will be developed in the heart of one of Eastern Europe's most dynamic and growing markets, bringing premium Trump-branded residences to the region," the companies said in a joint statement.
Although no details have yet been given about the specific location or start date of work, the project signals a strong commitment by the Trump family to Central and Eastern Europe, despite the political tensions that have engulfed Romania in recent months.
According to an official announcement, the company will partner with the Romanian real estate group to build the Trump Tower in Bucharest. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to Bloomberg, the new venture comes in addition to plans by Jared Kushner, President Trump's son-in-law, for a similar project in Belgrade.
The Trump Organization is in the final stages of negotiations to build a luxury resort in Albania, specifically on the island of Sazan, off the coast of Vlora.
The project is expected to include a combination of private villas, a yacht marina, and a five-star hotel under the "Trump International" brand. (A2 Televizion)
