The Israeli army demolished a building in a residential area in southern Beirut on Friday.
According to foreign media, observers warn that the attack could mean a resumption of large-scale war.
It is also reported that this attack was the first since the ceasefire was established, writes A2 CNN.
Meanwhile, the United States has also reacted to this attack. Axios journalist Barak Ravid says he spoke with Morgan Ortagus, the US deputy special envoy for the Middle East, about the recent Israeli attack on the Lebanese capital, which the Israeli military says was in response to rockets fired by Hezbollah, something the Lebanese group denies.
"Israel is endangering its citizens and interests" by responding to alleged rocket attacks from Lebanon, he quoted Ortagus as saying in a post on the social network 'X'.
"The Lebanese government is responsible for disarming Hezbollah and all other terrorists. We expect the Lebanese army to prevent further attacks," she added, according to Ravid.
He said a senior US official had told him that Ortagus held talks with Lebanese officials today and the ceasefire had been violated "by Lebanon, not Israel."
"Ortagus also held talks with senior Israeli officials and stressed that the US supports Israel but wants to avoid further escalation on the northern border," Ravid added, writes A2 CNN. (A2 Televizion)
