For his part, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio also announced the necessity of EU countries' participation in this process.
“I would say to you that to end any conflict, there have to be concessions from all sides. We are not going to predetermine what those are. The European Union will have to be at the table at some point, because they have also imposed sanctions on Russia, but I think the point here is that the goal that we agreed to is there,” said US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
National Security Adviser Mike Waltz, who is traveling with Rubio, said that the resolution of the conflict must be “permanent and, unlike in the past, not limited in time” . Territorial issues and security guarantees will also be part of the talks.
