One person was reportedly killed and four others injured in an explosion today near a military recruitment office in the western Ukrainian region of Khmelnytskyi.
According to foreign media, the attack, reported by national broadcaster Suspilne, was the latest in a series of violent incidents targeting recruitment offices in recent days, including fatal shootings and two explosions.
Ukraine's national police did not provide additional details and did not mention casualties in its report, A2 CNN reports. It was not immediately clear what caused the explosion.
On Monday, Ukraine's army chief condemned a series of violent attacks on army officers, which have piled pressure on an already troubled national campaign to attract struggling civilians with wavering enthusiasm for military service.
