As Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip have continued since October 7, the 4,609 Palestinian children killed so far were commemorated in Tehran, the capital of Iran. In the commemorative event called "Symphony of the Killed" for Palestinian children, symbolic shrouded corpses of Palestinian children were lined up in Palestinian Square.
Iranians who saw the symbolic funerals experienced emotional moments, some Iranian women shed tears while holding the symbolic corpses in their hands.
At the event where the Palestinian flags were displayed, the work titled "Land of Peace and Olive Trees", written by Arab poet Nizar Kabbani about Palestine, was performed in Arabic and English.
"It is really a very painful and unbearable scene. I felt bad when I saw these funerals. What we see here is just symbolic and when we know that all this is true, people become evil," said one of the citizens in Iran.
This activity was aimed at sensitizing and making the world aware of the voices of the children who lost their lives in Gaza.
"I took part in this event not to be insensitive to what is happening in Palestine and to do something, even if it's small, for it," said a citizen who also sang an Arabic song about Palestine at the event.
