Political earthquake in Great Britain, Sunak reinstates Cameron and sacks

Almost 7 years after leaving Downing Street, after the referendum that led to the separation of Great Britain from the European Union, David Cameron returns as head of diplomacy in Rishi Sunak's cabinet. The sudden move, which shocked British politics on Monday morning, came as part of a government reshuffle by Sunak that began with the dismissal of Secretary of State for Home Affairs Suella Braverman, followed by the departure of the Ministers for Transport, Environment, Housing and Health.

Sunak decided to remove Braverman, an ardent right-wing conservative and the strongest voice against illegal immigrants, including Albanians, after she challenged his authority over the weekend by criticizing the police response to a pro-Palestinian protest.

Former Foreign Secretary James Cleverly will replace Braverman, and she has also named stopping migrant boats as his priority. James Cleverly

"I had a good chat with the Prime Minister, who made it clear that he wants us to keep our promise to stop the migrant boats and protect the British people," James Cleverly said.

Thus, David Cameron, the prime minister who organized the Brexit referendum in 2016, paying with his post the vote against the bloc, of the British, says that he had gladly accepted Sunak's offer, despite having had disagreements with him regarding decisions individual. DavidCameron

We face formidable international challenges, including the war in Ukraine and the crisis in the Middle East. I think in these times of profound global change, it has rarely been more important for this country to stand by its allies and make its voice heard," said David Cameron.

Cameron's return suggests Sunak is looking to bring in more experienced centrist figures rather than pander to the right wing of his party, which Braverman supports.

It is believed that Sunak had long been planning a government reshuffle amid falling support for Labor ahead of next year's general election.  (A2 Televizion)
