Prime Minister Edi Rama has said that God saved President Donald Trump when he was shot, not only because he had a plan for the US, but according to him, the Almighty also had a plan for Europe.
Rama made the comments during his speech at the Political Community meeting in Tirana, where he said that the Europe of tomorrow must be filled with dreams for the future and freed from the myths of the past, writes A2 CNN.
He also added that the Europe of tomorrow is a vision that falls to the leaders present at the Summit to bring to life, which, according to Rama, should be far from weapons and resemble the imagination of the children and founding fathers.
"Our battle is not only about what others can do, but also about what we can do for ourselves. When Trump said that God saved him from a bullet because the Almighty had a plan for America, he only told half the truth, because the other half is that God had a plan for Europe too."
