US President-elect Donald Trump told a news conference from his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy should be prepared to make a deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin. to end the nearly three-year war in Ukraine.

Trump tried to avoid a direct answer when asked if Ukraine should cede territory to Russia in order to achieve peace.

It is a place of ruin. There is not a building standing. So people cannot return to those cities. There is nothing there. It's just rubble," Trump said.
Trump reiterated that the West should not allow Ukraine to attack Russia with missiles with a range of up to 200 miles inside Russian territory.
"I think we will be in a good place in the Middle East. I think the Middle East, we're going to be in a good place. I think that the Russia-Ukraine situation will actually be more difficult.
