The Israeli army, after occupying the parliament building in Gaza a few days ago, destroyed it this Wednesday by blowing it up.
After bombing civilian settlements, schools and hospitals, this time it was the turn of the building where Palestinian and Hamas lawmakers decide on their policies.

Israeli media shared images of the parliament building being destroyed and thick clouds of dust rising into the air, but the IDF has yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
A few days ago, Israeli forces entered the Gaza Parliament, and state television KAN shared photos showing Golani brigade soldiers raising their flag on the floor of the plenary hall.
The last general elections in Palestine were held in 2006 and were won by Hamas, while Mahmoud Abbas had won the presidential elections held in 2005, in which Hamas did not participate.
