Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokeswoman Brigadier General Effie Defrin has provided more details on Israel's overnight strikes in Iran.
According to foreign media, Defrin says the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) "significantly damaged" the Natanz nuclear plant, which is Iran's main uranium enrichment plant.
Previously, the International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed that the nuclear plant in question was hit by Israeli airstrikes, writes A2 CNN.
"This facility served the Revolutionary Guard to advance their military nuclear program," says the IDF spokesman.
"For many years, people in the Iranian regime made efforts to secure nuclear weapons at this facility," he says, before claiming that the country "has the necessary infrastructure to enrich uranium to a military level."
Iranian authorities earlier today informed the IAEA that there had been no increase in radiation levels. (A2 Televizion)
