According to foreign media, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky sends his congratulations to the new prime minister of Canada, a country with the second largest Ukrainian diaspora after Russia.
In a post on the social network 'X', he says that "Ukraine deeply appreciates our close ties with Canada and the unwavering support of the Canadian people."
Zelensky adds that his country is grateful for Canada's "principled leadership" in supporting Ukraine since Russia launched its full-scale invasion three years ago.
The Ukrainian leader welcomes military, financial and humanitarian assistance, as well as Canada's role in imposing sanctions against Russia.
"We are convinced that our partnership will only become stronger in our shared pursuit of peace, justice, and security," Zelensky wrote. (A2 Televizion)
