Former President Hashim Thaçi spent the night in the EULEX premises in Kosovo Polje, a day after visiting the grave of his father, Haxhi Thaçi, who died on March 16.
The Hague allowed Thaçi to stay in Kosovo for two days and after yesterday's visit to Burojë, he was sent to EULEX. This morning, Thaçi's brothers were seen entering EULEX to visit him.
Three days after his father's funeral ceremony, Hashim Thaçi was allowed to return to Kosovo.
He arrived in Pristina on Friday morning and from there went to Burojë to visit the grave of his father, who died on Sunday at the UCCK after a long illness.
This is Hashim Thaçi's second visit to Kosovo within a short period of time.
The former President of the country arrived in Pristina on March 13, where he stayed for several hours at the UCCK to visit his father who was being treated there, who was later found to be in his last days.
"The Trial Panel and Pre-Trial Judge have instructed the Registrar to manage a supervised visit to Kosovo for Hashim Thaçi to pay his respects and be with his immediate family. The accused remains in custody and in the custody of the Specialist Chambers," Specialist Chamber spokesperson Michael Doyle confirmed. (A2 Televizion)
