The message of the Bishop of Kosovo, Monsignor Dodë Gjergji for Christmas was tolerance, love and respect for each other, leaving aside political, religious and ethnic hatred.
At the main Christmas mass at the "Mother Teresa" Cathedral in Pristina, Monsignor Dodë Gjergji emphasized the importance of love for every person and every creature. He expressed concern about wars and the pain they cause, stressing that the loss of human life is often considered only as a number.
"I want to invite all the baptized and those who are preparing for baptism to become instruments of peace in the hand of God, to love every person and every creature with the heart of Christ, just as he loved us. To bring love in this time full of hatred, since we are living the dryness of the soul without love and the poison of the human heart with hatred, be it political, religious or ethnic. How many senseless wars are going on around the world today, how much unnecessary destruction everywhere there are wars and how much collateral damage all those who love freedom experience. And how many people's lives are lost in the whole country, the saddest thing about this hatred is that the loss of human lives is not valued at all, it is simply calculated by the number", emphasized Dodë Gjergji.
The Bishop of Kosovo, Monsignor Dodë Gjergji appealed for reflection and awareness, especially for divided politics and for religious leaders, encouraging an atmosphere of peace and coexistence. His message focused on the necessity of creating strong bonds of love and harmony, expressing this as a means to help society overcome hatred and follow a path of peace.
"This year we are celebrating the 25th Christmas in freedom and peace. As if every time this year, in all the squares of our cities, especially in Pristina, believers and fellow citizens of our country are celebrating and enjoying each other. This is a good thing, since regardless of beliefs, beliefs or religions, Albanians know how to celebrate together. But we should not forget that we, the baptized, who have opened our hearts to Christ, whose birthday we are celebrating and celebrating the incarnation of the word and the coming of God in the history of the world and in the lives of each of us", said imozt Dodë Gjergji.
In addition to the citizens, the Prime Minister of the country, Albin Kurti, accompanied by the Minister of Culture, Hajrulla Çeku, also participated in the mass. Kosovapress (A2 Televizion)
