"Whoever loves this land, country and children must preserve the alliance with America and NATO as the eyes of their forehead. They must preserve it as the day of March 24, 1999."
This was the message of Ramush Haradinaj, chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, during the commemoration of the Dukagjin Epic and the great sacrifice of his family for freedom. On the 27th anniversary of this historic day, he called traitors those who damage relations with Washington.

"I have seen people fighting and falling as martyrs. I know how brave we Albanians are, I have stood with the brave, but it is a curse if we ourselves praise ourselves and forget the help of America, those who gave us when our lives were in danger. It is a curse to beat each other's shoulders and say that we do not need anyone because we ourselves protect ourselves and freedom, the border and protect the north. We have done everything until the last bullet, but to protect the country we have a vital alliance with America. Whoever boasts and praises himself and thinks he is very good should know that he is not with this country and this people", says Haradinaj.

Haradinaj, who was the commander of the Dukagjini operational zone, recounted details of the fighting 27 years ago in Gllogjan.

"Their (Jashari family) fight, their sacrifice to the point of sacrificing all those who were there, removed our dilemmas and left us no other choice but to fight until the last bullet and the last man. We had no other choice, knowing that we would soon face the same force that attacked Jashari, we had a strategy, where we changed the war strategy. We made a tactical plan of response but not static. We were attacked in our house, Dauti was the first to face them. Immediately with the opening of the frontal war, the Serbian forces brought motorized vehicles, 20-millimeter cannons and also air support to the front line of fire," he added.

Meanwhile, the mayor of Gjakova, Ardian Gjini, said that Prekazi and Gllogjani have started the history of Kosovo's freedom. On March 24, 1998, a frontal battle was fought in Gllogjani by the KLA forces and Serbian forces, who had surrounded Gllogjani, while their goal was the Haradinaj family house, where they encountered strong resistance. On this day, Him Haradinaj, Gazmend and Agron Mehmetaj fell martyrs. (A2 Televizion)
