Hashim Thaçi's wife and his brothers have visited the former president at the EULEX offices, where he continues to stay.
After the meeting, his brothers said he is in good health, but that they are forbidden to speak further. This is the first time Thaçi has spent so long in EULEX, since his detention in 2020.
Meanwhile, citizens continue to stand in front of EULEX, holding various banners in support of the former president.
Thaçi yesterday stayed in his birthplace in Burojë, Skenderaj, where he paid homage to his father's grave, and also spent a few hours at his home, where he met with his mother and wife. He then stayed at the EULEX offices in Pristina, and it is not yet known when he will leave for The Hague.
The Special Court did not grant Thaçi permission to attend his father's funeral on Tuesday, March 18.
Thaçi is facing a protracted trial, on charges of alleged war crimes.
He has pleaded not guilty to all counts of the indictment.
