"Grenell is right, the US has broken relations with the government",

"Albin Kurti will lose a lot and will no longer be the Prime Minister of Kosovo." This is the prediction made by former Deputy Prime Minister Edita Tahiri.

"The elections are going well, the process seems calm. Meanwhile, the results will provide a significant change, the opposition will win, which means Kurti will no longer receive what he received in his first term and the process is moving towards a government coalition...," she said.

In a conversation with Erion Dushi on A2 CNN, Tahiri also stated that after the voting process is closed, Kosovo will have a coalition government.

Ms. Tahiri expressed her conviction that the citizens of Kosovo will punish Prime Minister Albin Kurti with their votes, for, as she put it, the four years in which his party brought the country to its knees.

"I think that because of Kurti's mismanagement, citizens have felt life difficult, domestically, especially economically. There is a lot of corruption, poverty, externally, the situation is very difficult... It left Kosovo isolated internationally."

Meanwhile, regarding Kosovo's dealings with international allies, Tahiri supported Richard Grenell's statement, according to which the US has broken relations with the Kurti government and not with Kosovo.

"First, he spoke the truth. Relations are broken between the Kurti government and America. Grenell is Trump's special envoy. Today he is a senior official. Serious, governmental statement from America. He opposed Kurti's populism."

Asked why, according to her, Albin Kurti managed to complete a full four-year term as head of government this time, Tahiri gave credit to the opposition.

"I liked the Kosovo opposition for not returning to Kurti with his violent methods when he was in opposition. Because when he was in opposition, he disrupted the parliament, he destabilized it."

According to Tahiri, Kurti is a populist who not only did not know how to govern, but in four years "for his failures, he always looked for the blame outside himself." (A2 Televizion)
