A2 CNN has obtained a photo of the much-respected justice Florenc Çapja, who was extradited this Friday afternoon from Dubai.
A change is noticeable in the appearance of the 44-year-old, who has been hiding from Albanian justice in the "paradise" of the United Arab Emirates for 8 years. The change is significant compared to an old photo of him that the State Police had when they had declared him internationally wanted, as he now appears with receding hair and a beard.
In the announcement for the extradition of the "strongman" of Elbasan, the police describe Çapja as a citizen of high social danger, accused by SPAK and the Elbasan Court of ordering 3 murders.
"As a result of the exchange of information and coordination of actions, with partners of the State Police, through INTERPOL structures, within the framework of the next phase of the international police operation codenamed "The Wanted", the second arrest in Dubai and the extradition to Albania of the internationally wanted, highly dangerous citizen F. Ç., 44 years old, born in Elbasan, was successfully finalized. The 44-year-old is under the security measure "Arrest in prison", by the Criminal Court, in 2022, for the criminal offense "Providing conditions and means to commit murder", committed within the framework of a structured criminal group, as well as by the Elbasan Court, in 2021, for the criminal offenses "Murder in qualifying circumstances", committed in collaboration and "Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", the police explain.
