A Russian citizen has been arrested at the Merdare border crossing in Kosovo after attempting to bribe a police officer to allow her to enter without a visa.
The Kosovo Police announced the news through a statement, stating that by decision of the prosecutor, the suspect has been taken into custody.
"PKK Merdarë, Podujevë 17.01.2025 – 18:10. A Russian female suspect, a citizen of Russia, was arrested after she offered a €50 bribe to a police officer to allow her to enter the Republic of Kosovo without a visa. By decision of the prosecutor, the suspect was taken into custody," the police report states, writes A2 CNN.
It is not yet known why the Russian citizen sought to enter Kosovo without a visa, while work is underway to clarify the situation. (A2 Televizion)
