The Kosovo Police, in coordination with the Special Prosecutor's Office, has implemented the tactical plan, after receiving information that in the Gjilan region, some suspected persons have attempted to circulate large amounts of counterfeit money.
According to the police, in connection with the case, during the investigative actions, a vehicle was stopped in a controlled manner, where during the control, 105 thousand euros were found and confiscated, which are suspected to be fake money.
"Regarding the case, the suspect's house was checked, where the money counting machine was found. In this case, in total, the following evidence was seized: 100,000.00 euro banknotes of 200 euro. 5000.00 €uro banknotes from 100 €uro, 1 machine for counting money, 3 mobile phones", the announcement states.
It is further stated that in relation to the case, by the prosecutor's decision, the suspect is sent to detention for 48 hours, under the suspicion of committing the crimes of "Forgery of money" and "Money laundering". (A2 Televizion)
