Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani paid homage at the statue of KLA war hero Zahir Pajaziti, on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of his fall and that of two other heroes Hakif Zejnullahu and Edmond Hoxha.
Osmani remembered the sacrifice, bravery and courage of the heroes of Kosovo, Zahir Pajaziti, Hakif Zejnullahu and Edmond Hoxha, while stating that “they became the messengers of freedom and inspired entire generations of the KLA to join the liberation war”.
“Today, together with all the citizens of the sovereign, free and independent Republic of Kosovo, we remember the extraordinary sacrifice, bravery and courage of the hero of Kosovo, Zahir Pajaziti, who with his comrades Hakif Zejnullahu, Edmond Hoxha became the messengers of our freedom, who gave their lives not only for the freedom of Kosovo, but at the same time inspired entire generations of the KLA to join our liberation war.
"To fight for Kosovo, for its people, for the freedom of this land until the final liberation which came in June 1999. The ideal for which Zahir Pajaziti and his friends fought must serve us especially today, because freedom and sovereignty are not taken for granted. They must constantly be protected and maintained," said Osmani. (A2 Televizion)
