The Kosovo Parliament has failed to constitute the Assembly of Kosovo. This is the seventh meeting of Kosovo's deputies that has failed to elect the Speaker of the Assembly, after the candidate of the winning party Lëvizja Vetëvendosje, Albulena Haxhiu, was not voted in. The next session will be held on Tuesday, announced the chairman of the constitutive session, Avni Dehari.
Representatives of parliamentary parties said on the eve of the session that they have not changed their positions from previous sessions, warning of another failure of the session.
Nearly three months after the February 9 elections, the process has stalled due to disagreements among some of the largest parliamentary parties over the post of speaker of the Assembly. Vetëvendosje has 48 seats out of the 120 total in the Kosovo Assembly. (A2 Televizion)
