The candidate for prime minister from the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku, has asked the current Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, for a public confrontation to "consider ideas for the future."
This statement by Abdixhiku came after Prime Minister Kurti mentioned the opposition during the campaign, saying that "they will rot in the opposition" and calling them "flies".
"We are not here to be insulted and divided and to be immersed in a big swamp of spit. We are here to present the future work of the Republic of Kosovo because we need to explain to our citizens what we stand for. I invite the outgoing Prime Minister to a public confrontation, let's weigh ideas for the future. We have several others to insult me, but I do not intend to insult him in this campaign," said Abdixhiku.
As the Prime Minister replied: "When we happen to hear a leader of the LDK who says that the people like him and have sympathy for him, this is like that fly that said that wherever I go, they are waiting for me with applause. So when they say that the people are like that fly that praises that people are waiting for them with applause. And you know very well that with those clapping hands what they are trying to do to that fly. (A2 Televizion)
