The ruling party, Lévizja Vetëvendosje, unlike the two opposition parties, PDK and LDK that chose Pristina for the opening rallies, has opened the campaign for the February 9 elections in Kosovo in Gjakovë.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti, in his speech, focused at length on relations with Serbia, stating that his government has three alternatives for its northern neighbor.
"For the youth we have employment, for women we have equality, for the youth we have allowances, for the opposition we have the opposition, for Serbia we have the police, the army, and dialogue, for the elderly we have the pension and for everyone we have health. So each in his own place", said Kurti, sending a clear message to Belgrade.
"There are two parties that have governed for the longest time. Sometimes together and sometimes separately, but which have done us the greatest harm in relation to our bad relationship. We cannot change geography and history but we can change the future by starting now. One of these parties, LDK, is such that the President of Serbia says "Reason", and the other party PDK is such that the President of Serbia says: "We are not problematic guys". But our coalition, Vetëvendosje, Guxo and Alternativa tells him as he is, the minister of Milosevic, whose state and criminal apparatus will have no place because we will follow him in every corner, corner by corner, in the independent Republic. democratic and progressive of Kosovo", said Kurti.
