The Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has said that the documentation of war crimes is a moral and historical obligation for all generations in Kosovo.
He, in the presentation of the 1-year report of the Institute of crimes committed during the war in Kosovo, said that the institutions are creating a strong basis to fight Serbia's denial of the truth.
The head of government accused the current establishment of Serbia of glorifying violence and denying the genocide in Kosovo. Even according to him, the same are reviving the hegemonic ambitions of the butcher of the Balkans, Slobodan Milosevic.
Kurti announced that this year the institute has collected about 190 meters of archival material and 15 terabytes of digital, video, audio and photo material documenting the crimes committed during the war in Kosovo.
On the other hand, the director of the Institute of crimes committed during the war in Kosovo, Atdhe Hetemi, said that despite the difficulties that have arisen, evidence has been collected for the documentation of war crimes in Kosovo. He added that the main priority in 2025 is the full functionalization of this institution as well as the collection of materials in the states of the region.
Various representatives of Kosovo's institutions were also present at the table for the presentation of this report. After the speech of Prime Minister Kurti and director Hetemi, the meeting was closed to the media.
