The Central Election Commission has accepted the decision of the Electoral Panel for Complaints and Submissions that requires the certification of the Serbian List for participation in the February 9 parliamentary elections.
The CEC is waiting for the deadlines for appeals against this decision to expire before bringing this issue back for discussion.
"At the end of this decision, it is said that there may be an appeal process against the decision of the PZAP within 48 hours in the Supreme Court, therefore the CEC will wait for the development of these legal procedures before the issue enters the agenda at the CEC meeting ", said the spokesperson of the CEC, Valmir Elezi.
The two members of the Vetëvendosje Movement in the CEC, Sami Kurteshi and Alban Krasniqi, voted against the certification of the Serbian List for elections on the grounds that this subject has instigated and led terrorist attacks against the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, the police, KFOR soldiers and journalists.
However, Kurteshi stated for A2 CNN that they will not appeal the decision of PZAP to the Supreme Court as they accept that the result will be the same and the right will be given to the Serbian List.
He said that the decision of the PZAP is not complete and their arguments are not taken into account, but only if they are good in the formal aspect.
"Both of these degrees are called in the formal aspect, with papers it's all right, they don't see the other things, they don't dare to see them, there's nothing there, are there fines from PZAP, are there fines from the court, no any ban from any court, he is not convicted of a criminal offense", said the CEC member from Vetëvendosje, Sami Kurteshi.
Kurteshi insisted that the language of the candidates of the Serbian List is contrary to the constitution when it refers to "Kosovo and Metohija" but that the same candidates are also employed in parallel structures.
"Most of the current candidates of the Serbian List are employed, they work in parallel in the so-called parallel institutions of the Republic of Serbia in Kosovo, which are prohibited by law, all of them, but neither PZAP nor the CEC considers them it is part of the law, part of the regulations, then let them work where they want."
Kurteshi said that whenever the issue of the certification of the Serbian List is part of the agenda of the CEC, the two members of the LVV will again vote against it. (A2 Televizion)
