Thirteen world and regional organizations dealing with media freedom expressed concern over the recent decision of the ruling party in Kosovo, the Vetëvendosje Movement, to boycott several television channels during the election campaign.
These organizations demanded that Kurti and his party abandon the decision to boycott some media.
"We understand that no formal justification has been given to these televisions for this decision", it was said in the open letter sent to the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, by 13 organizations.
A day earlier, the Association of Journalists of Kosovo described this decision as an attempt to "undermine the role of journalists and the media" to hold Kurti's Self-determination Movement responsible "for its policies". (A2 Televizion)
