The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, in his speech at the scientific conference on crimes committed during the war in Kosovo, called for a true approach to the history of Kosovo based on documents.
According to Kurti, thousands of people were killed and disappeared during the Serbian genocide in Kosovo, writes A2.
The conference at which Albin Kurti spoke aims to raise global awareness about the consequences of the war in Kosovo and the necessity for justice for the victims.
“Kosovo has experienced a dark period, with violence, with serious war crimes, and crimes against humanity, committed by various armed forces of the same state, Serbia. Our people have survived genocide, ethnic cleansing, and mass destruction. With thousands killed, disappeared, and expelled, with victims and survivors of sexual violence, with immeasurable material and spiritual punishment, the consequences of the war are still felt. The families of the victims know the pain better than anyone, every day they live with memories that hurt, with a lack that cannot be filled. Crimes cannot remain silent or be covered with oblivion. Therefore, we are continuing to speak, write, and testify, until every crime is documented, punished, and until every victim has justice. "The state of Kosovo remains steadfast in uncovering the truth, preserving collective memory, and ensuring that justice is served," Kurti said. (A2 Televizion)
