The Vetëvendosje Movement insists that the postal vote should be repeated from the beginning. Their request came after the Democratic League of Kosovo's result, which they say was rigged.

Kurti's party's appeal was rejected by the Electoral Panel for Complaints and Appeals on the grounds that it was submitted late, while the electoral code requires that it be submitted no later than 48 hours after the alleged violation occurred, writes A2 CNN.

According to the ECAP, the completion of the counting for the diaspora votes received by mail was closed on March 4 at 16:00, while the entire counting process for the other votes was completed on March 6 at 21:00.

However, the Vetëvendosje Movement will appeal in the second instance, to the Supreme Court. “We have both deadlines available, one is the deadline to appeal the ECAP decision because the ECAP has legally opened the door for 48 hours, but we have the right to appeal even after the announcement of the final results, we now have both open,” said Sami Kurteshi, Vetëvendosje Movement.

Vetëvendosje claims that there were numerous violations and flagrant manipulation of the postal voting process by the LDK that led to its 400% increase.

They say that the vote and the free will of voters must and will be protected and the integrity of the electoral process must be guaranteed by annulling the postal ballots and organizing a re-voting process.

“We will complain about the issue of re-voting by mail from abroad for expatriates, because we have produced a lot of evidence, facts, proof, that that process is completely contaminated,” Kurteshi said.

Regarding these alleged violations, Vetëvendosje has also notified the police and the prosecutor's office, but it has not been officially confirmed whether any investigation has been launched. (A2 Televizion)
