The ruling party, the Vetëvendosje Movement, has appealed to the Supreme Court against the decision of the Electoral Panel for Complaints and Submissions to order the Central Electoral Commission to certify the Serbian List for the February 9 elections.
The representatives of Vetëvendosje in the CEC had voted against the certification of the largest party of Serbs in Kosovo, in a meeting held on December 23.
Two days later, PZAP accepted the complaint of the Serbian List, overturning the decision of the CEC, saying that this party had submitted the documentation in accordance with the Law on general elections.
But despite having said that he would not appeal the decision to the Supreme Court, on Friday, the Deputy Minister of Justice, Blerim Sallahu, submitted the appeal to the Supreme Court on behalf of the Vetëvendosje Movement. The Supreme Court can decide on the appeal within 72 hours. (A2 Televizion)
