Ivan Videnovic, a law professor at the University of Belgrade and a well-known critic of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, has raised the alarm about the deepening influence of the Serbian Orthodox Church in state politics and about Serbia's dangerous closeness to Russia.
In a public reaction, Videnovic sharply criticized the recent meeting between Serbian Patriarch Porfirije and Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin, writes A2. He described this as a sign of the direct involvement of the Serbian Orthodox Church in the country's geopolitical orientation, to the detriment of relations with the European Union.
Videnovic also commented on several images recently published in Serbia, including one showing a map of Kosovo covered with the Serbian flag and the inscription "No surrender".
According to the Serbian professor, the message of the photo is: "Let's take Kosovo by force and finish the genocide we have started." (A2 Televizion)
