The Vetëvendosje Movement is awaiting the counting of diaspora votes as a determinant to give it the necessary mandates to form the new Government.
During the Kosovo Government meeting, Prime Minister Albin Kurti thanked all registered voters from the diaspora who participated in the elections, which he said became an integral part of decision-making for the country.
"We all expect from the Central Electoral Commission even more commitment to completing the counting process and increased care in protecting the will of voters to thus conclude a free, regular, fair and democratic electoral process, with massive participation of citizens, for which I thank each and every one," declared Prime Minister Kurti.
Kurti said that they are waiting for the final results for the political entities that have been announced to be announced next week before work begins on the formation of new institutions.
"As the clear winners of these elections, citizens expect us to fulfill our obligation to form institutions in the 9th legislature as soon as possible. Until then, I expect you, honorable government cabinet, to continue the work and good deeds at the same pace," Kurti said.
With the results counted from regular centers, the Vetëvendosje Movement has won about 41% of the votes, or 47 mandates. While about 95 thousand votes from the diaspora, including those with special needs, remain to be counted. (A2 Televizion)
