Ammunition and weapons are seized, Kosovo Police arrest 9 people at the customs office in the north

The Kosovo Police has successfully carried out a large-scale operation in the north. It is known that during the control of 11 different locations and in coordination with the Customs, a total of 9 people, 8 customs officials and 1 police officer were arrested.

The Special Prosecutor's Office of Kosovo announces that the check was made with the purpose of gathering evidence and arresting nine officials suspected of the criminal offenses of "Misuse of official position or authority" and "Taking a bribe".

"From this action, other important items were seized for further investigative procedures, such as: twenty official Kosovo Customs bullets, ten telephones together with four sim cards, a 9 mm caliber pistol with three magazines and 9 cartridges, sixteen pieces of ammunition not official", reads the announcement.
