14 years from January 21, Prime Minister Edi Rama from DAVOS, asked SPAK to no longer delay justice for the 4 protest victims of 2011. Due to his agenda, Rama was absent from the tributes on the "Martyrs of the Nation" Boulevard.
On January 21, 2011, four protesters Ziver Veizi, Aleks Nika, Hekuran Dedad, and Faik Myrtaj were killed during a demonstration by the Socialist Party of Albania against the right-wing government of the time. As every year, representatives of the majority party, together with relatives, paid homage by placing flowers at the memorial plaques for the 4 victims on Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard.
As is rare in these 14 years, Prime Minister Edi Rama was not present at the tribute, but from the Davos economic forum on his social networks he asked SPAK to do justice for the 4 martyrs of January 21.
Even Ziver Veiz's granddaughter from Fier does not hide her disappointment that her uncle's murder has still not been solved by justice.
“January 21” is officially a case being investigated by SPAK. The Special Structure Against Corruption and Organized Crime has registered a criminal investigation into the murder of Aleks Nika, as well as the injury of Artes Dybel, Ilia Qesko, and Ilia Papa during the 2011 violent protest in front of the prime minister’s office.
