August has started with high passenger numbers in Vlora, fulfilling expectations for a tourist season filled with visitors from abroad. In the early hours of Sunday morning alone, 1,236 passengers disembarked at the Port of Vlora on the two ferries of the sea line connecting the city with Brindisi.
Port authorities tell A2 CNN that the flow has been increasing since the end of July, with the peak expected to be reached during the second week of August.
Security and flow management measures have been reinforced. All counters at the port have been put into operation.
This month is expected to bring a high number of tourists, but also Albanians, immigrants who live in neighboring countries and choose to spend their holidays in their homeland.
According to data provided by the Vlora seaport, a total of 1,600 passengers and 365 vehicles arrived on Saturday. While if we take the weekend into account, 2,833 passengers and 606 vehicles arrived in Vlora on Saturday and Sunday.
Friday was also a day with a high influx of passengers entering the seaport of Vlora, where 701 passengers and 208 cars, 7 campers and buses entered the port on Friday. In total, taking into account Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the number of passengers entering the seaport of Vlora is 3534 passengers and 814 cars. (A2 Televizion)
