Director position opens at INSTAT

The Council of Ministers opened the competition for the position of Director General of the Institute of Statistics (INSTAT), following the end of the mandate of Elsa Dhuli, who has held this position since 2020.

The Director General of INSTAT is appointed by the Parliament, upon the proposal of the Council of Ministers, after an open and public selection procedure.

The Director General of INSTAT directs the development strategy and coordinating activities of the institutions within the national statistical system, ensuring their professional independence.

The deadline for submitting applications is August 29, 2025.

Candidates will be notified individually and through the official website of the Prime Minister's Office about the further stages of the process, including verification of criteria, appeals, the interview and its date, which will take place by September 30, 2025.

The list of candidates qualified for interview will be announced by September 22, 2025.

During the interview, candidates will be tested on their knowledge in the field of statistics, the legislation regulating public administration, and the functioning of the statistical system.

They will also present a brief presentation on their leadership philosophy and the innovations they intend to bring to this position.

Currently, this institution is led by Elsa Dhuli, who was appointed to this position in November 2020. (A2 Televizion)
