Be careful with phones. This seems to be the message between the lines that the Minister of the Interior Taulant Balla sent this Monday to the officers who serve in the State Police.
The message comes from London, where Balla has met the leaders of the National Crime Agency (NCA), from whom he says that Albania will receive the best models to carry out vetting in the police and the control of telephone communications of the officers.
" We have an excellent cooperation with the British law enforcement authorities, naturally some of the issues we discussed to get the British experience, in what I have called the self-purification of the State Police from the elements that cooperate with organized crime. This is a process that follows for a long time also in the British Police, as well as the Vetting process. The exchange of experiences is necessary. The Minister of the Interior informs that he is also cooperating closely with British partners in several areas, which include the fight against narcotics and money laundering by Albanian criminal groups.
