Deepening cooperation in areas such as public order, the fight against organized crime, terrorism and cybercrime was the focus of the meeting of the Director General of the State Police, Ilir Proda, during the meeting in Saudi Arabia at the invitation of his counterpart, Lieutenant General Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Bassami.
In a statement distributed to the media, the police announced that the parties agreed to increase the exchange of experiences, strengthen operational cooperation and conduct joint training.
"We are interested in deepening cooperation with the Albanian Police, not only in the field of public order and security, but in all areas of common interest ," said Al-Bassami.
During the meeting, the two directors emphasized the need to expand relations between the two police forces, in areas of common interest.
"We are ready to intensify joint training, develop pilot projects and work on building technical and professional capacities, for the benefit of both our countries. The proposal to build direct communication bridges between the operational structures of the two police forces, through joint action plans and training initiatives, constitutes a concrete step towards deepening cooperation", said Proda.
During the visit, the Albanian delegation also held meetings with security leaders from Mecca and Medina, exchanging experiences on security management during mass gatherings.
