Edi Rama has announced that the Black Hawk helicopters of our Air Force will have their dedicated "home" at the Farka Air Base, where, according to the Prime Minister, the construction of the new hangar has just been completed.
Rama announced the news through a post on his Facebook page, where he wrote that the investment in infrastructure and modernization will increase the operability of the Farka Base, providing all the facilities not only for carrying out helicopter maintenance work, but also improving working conditions for pilots and technicians.
"Our Air Force's Black Hawk helicopters will have their dedicated "home" at Farka Air Base, where construction of the new hangar has just been completed.
"Investing in infrastructure and modernization will increase the operability of the Farka Base, providing all the facilities not only for carrying out helicopter maintenance work, but also improving working conditions for our pilots and technicians," Rama wrote on his Facebook page.
Meanwhile, Captain Ertion Kodra, Chief of Maintenance of Black Hawk, has stated that the building constructed is sufficient to accommodate 4 helicopters, while adding that their defects will also be repaired there.
"This hangar will greatly help increase the operability and maintenance of Black Hawk helicopters, offering better working conditions and service for the maintenance staff. The construction of this hangar is to accommodate up to 4 helicopters, but not only for its accommodation, but daily maintenance, scheduled maintenance will also be carried out here.
