"Bulgarian train" in Elbasan, Celibashi demands investigation for PD's denunciation

In today's media appearance, CEC head Ilirjan Celibashi was asked about the denunciation made by the blue headquarters, where Democratic leader Sali Berisha presented evidence, according to him, that the vote manipulation scheme, the so-called "Bulgarian train", was carried out in Elbasan.

The Chief Commissioner said that the CEC is not aware of this violation, but called for the public denunciation of the DP to be investigated by law enforcement structures.

" We have no knowledge, we have not been informed, but I can say without hesitation that the case will have to be investigated and verified by the criminal prosecution bodies. It is definitely necessary to respond to the concern raised publicly ," Celibashi said, A2 CNN reports.

Meanwhile, shortly before the CEC head's conference, the leading democrat Berisha denounced the electoral scandal in Elbasan, known as the "Bulgarian train", describing it as a case of vote manipulation.

The Democratic leader published new evidence, according to which, in the bar-cafe of the village elder of Pekisht, Dervish Beqiri, an SP observer, significant amounts of election materials, such as ballots, voting lists and suspicious euros, were found.

" The 'Bulgarian train', which was widely applied in Albania, remained at the Pekisht station. It came off the rails and remained there. After information that the future deputy of Elbasan, Blendi Himçi, received last night that in the village of Pekisht, in the bar-cafe of the village elder Dervish Beqiri, a loyal observer of the SP, there are a considerable amount of voting materials, ballots, voting lists and narco-euro ," Berisha said, according to A2 CNN.
