Albania-Greece relations have entered a new phase of interaction. This was confirmed a few weeks ago by both Prime Ministers Rama and Mitsotakis in Tirana, but it is also seen in other aspects of bilateral cooperation.
One of them is the one that has already started on the issues of cadastral services. The Director General of the Cadastre, Lorena Goxhobelli, received in Tirana a delegation from Greece, headed by the Deputy Minister for Digital Governance, Konstantinos Kyranakis, the Deputy Ambassador of Greece in Tirana, Athanasios Astrakas, and the President of the Greek Cadastre, Stelios Sakaretsios.
The focus of the meeting was the exchange of experiences and strengthening cooperation for the modernization of cadastral services, with the aim of providing fast and transparent services to citizens.
Greek assistance for cadastral services was requested by Prime Minister Edi Rama from his counterpart Kyriakos Mitsotakis. The latter sent the aforementioned delegation to Albania, to further pave the way for deepening cooperation in concrete terms.
It is learned that thanks to this cooperation that has just begun, ASHK staff will benefit from their Greek counterparts' training and expertise in the use of the most advanced technologies in data management. The aim is to improve processes to provide faster and more quality services and more convenience for citizens.
Another important aspect of this cooperation with the Greek side in the field of cadastral services is the increase in transparency and standardization of procedures for a modern Cadastre. Thanks to the digitalization and rapid processing of applications, ASHK has reduced the large stock of files like never before, especially in the capital where applications for 2025 are currently being processed. In this direction, progress is also being made with other ASHK offices in other cities of the country. (A2 Televizion)
