Muslim believers celebrate Eid al-Adha today. The Eid al-Adha prayer this year was not held at Skanderbeg Square, but at the “Dëshmorët e Kombit” Boulevard, writes A2 CNN. The prayer ceremony began at 6:15-6:30, then the believers dispersed to perform the other rites of this holiday. A2 CNN journalist Armend Pire brought the congratulations and messages of the believers. Strengthening in faith, family, tranquility and peace everywhere in the world, were some of the messages of the believers. But what stands out the most is the message about the war in Gaza.
"We are very sorry for the Muslims in Gaza, may Allah incarnate them. The bad thing is that the world does not react for them. We pray for them," were some of the messages conveyed by Muslims, reports A2 CNN.
The Eid al-Adha holiday is one of the most important holidays for Muslims. It symbolizes sacrifice and obedience to God, based on the story of the prophet Ibrahim, who was ready to sacrifice his son for the sake of God. During this day, believers pray the Eid prayer in the morning and make a sacrifice, usually a sheep, cow or ram.
