"Black Friday", how the American tradition is being embraced in Tirana

The borrowed "sport" of hunting for price reductions, known as "Black Friday", is becoming more and more a part of the Albanian reality every year. Businesses in the country are trying to entice consumers to spend more with percentages.

"I will be interested in buying those products that are even more expensive, such as jewelry, make-up, but also clothing," says a citizen.

"I will buy sneakers because I play sports and they are a bit expensive on other days," says another citizen.

"Black Friday" is also the day that people look forward to the most. We stopped at one of the shopping centers in the capital, in which almost all businesses have embraced this practice of foreign countries.

As a day already marked in the shopping calendar of Albanians, "Black Friday" is turning into a motive that brings more satisfactory income to the pockets of Albanian businesses.

But it happens that businesses abuse the prices, in which the invoices, with the set percentages, reflect the same as before.

The origin of "Black Friday" adapted in Albanian, "E premtja e Zeze" dates back more than a century and a half in Philadelphia, in the distant year 1869 when investors Jay Gould and Jim Fisk raised gold prices and caused chaos in shop. (A2 Televizion)
