The National Energy and Climate Plan will be revised. The government has set new targets to be achieved by 2030. In the new document put out for public consultation, the amount of energy from renewable sources is aimed at making up 59.4 percent of total energy consumption from 54.4 that was earlier .
"The energy efficiency dimension shows the country's commitment to reducing energy consumption in various sectors, including industry, transport and buildings, through energy efficiency measures, supporting the development of energy efficiency technologies and practices, carrying out energy audits and setting high standards for energy performance in equipment, buildings and vehicles", National Energy and Climate Plan.
An important focus is given to energy efficiency, while the main goal is to reduce net greenhouse gas emissions, aiming to reach below 1990 levels in 2030.
