Davos, the alpine resort town in Switzerland will host the leaders of the most powerful countries and companies from around the world from January 20 to 24. At the discussion tables of the World Economic Forum this year, some of which are expected to have representatives from Albania and Kosovo together with other countries of the Region, climate, nature, energy and misinformation will be discussed.
Around 2,700 high-profile participants have already confirmed their participation. In fact, the membership ticket for a company representative goes up to 120 thousand dollars, a reasonable cost to stay with the 0.01% of the world.
For the first time, Kosovo will participate in the World Economic Forum of Davos, presenting itself through the "Kosova House" initiative, for which the Government of Kosovo has allocated 350 thousand euros.
The organization of the Davos forum this year is expected to cost a total of 24 million Swiss francs from about 18 million last year. This is among the highest levels ever.
A significant part of the expenditure, nearly 9 million Swiss francs, is planned to go to security. Most of the expenses will be covered by the Swiss government.
Last year, Albania was not represented at the political level at the Davos Forum, while in 2023, it signed a cooperation agreement with Israel in the field of security and cyber defense. (A2 Televizion)
