Tourism has transformed into one of the main engines of economic growth in Albania. According to official INSTAT data, economic growth has resulted in around 4% throughout 2024.
The tourism sector has boosted the economy through several subgroups such as trade, restaurants, and accommodation, writes A2.
If we compare the performance with the same period in 2023, the economic performance results in better results. Throughout the year, growth was led by trade and accommodation, construction and public administration, influenced by the increase in wages.
According to INSTAT data, positive contributions in recent months have been made by the branches of Public Administration, Education and Health with 1.44%, "Trade, Transport, Accommodation and Food Services" with about 1%, followed by "Real Estate Activities", "Construction" and "Other Service Activities".
