Accident with 4 victims, concrete mixer driver sent to prison

Aleksandër Krrashi, the driver of the concrete mixer that collided with the vehicle carrying the four young people who tragically lost their lives, will remain in custody until the investigation is completed.

The Tirana Court sentenced the 24-year-old to prison, accepting the prosecution's request that accuses him of three criminal offenses: violating traffic rules, driving a vehicle in an irregular manner, and leaving the scene of an accident.

A mandatory appearance order was issued for the company's manager, Danjel Koxha. Meanwhile, the 24-year-old's cousin, Valentin Krrashi, was remanded in custody, accused of having removed him from the scene of the crime.

Four young people tragically lost their lives in a serious accident that occurred in the Fushë-Preza area, near midnight on March 19. They were traveling in a Benz vehicle that collided with a concrete mixer driven by 24-year-old Aleksandër Krrashi. The latter immediately left the scene after the accident, only to be arrested a few minutes later.

The accident occurred at around 11:50 p.m. on Wednesday. The victims are aged 20 to 25. Enejdi Laçi, his brother Erildi Laçi, their cousin and friend Andi Laçi and Enrikejd Kurti.

They were returning from Rinas Airport, where they had been waiting for one of the two brothers, 20-year-old Erildi Laçi, to arrive from Germany. (A2 Televizion)
